INDIEGOGO x the Indie Chicks

Please help us keep Indie Chick on the shelves. We are 3 women who represent a very important message and are trying to create a shift in what women are exposed to in the media! The smallest bit helps, even if you’re unable to contribute any money, sharing this campaign on social media and by word of mouth could make us all the difference. Thank you, on behalf of the entire Indie Chick community!

In 2012, we launched TheIndieChicks.com, an online magazine to help women strengthen and empower themselves, no matter who they are and no matter what life has thrown their way.  Underneath the thousands of hats we wear - like mother, sister, friend, or lover -  we are, above all else, individuals. The emphasis on strengthening that core and overall sense of self is what we believe is lacking in media today.

Our message of self-empowerment and self-acceptance belongs on the same shelf as magazines that tell you that you're not good enough.

We need your help staying on that shelf.

We are looking to raise the $20,000 we need to print and ship the Fall issue of Indie Chick magazine. With your help, we'll be able to fulfill orders and get the magazine (and the voices in it) the exposure it deserves.

We write for you, which is why we felt the need to personalize the perks to show you how big of a role you've played in our mission.

So much of what this brand has evolved into is a response to what our readers have asked for and told us they need. When we launched the first issue of the print magazine in January, the response was incredible. Messages came flooding in about the need for something like this and how our content was able to change their lives.

Because we're tired of reading 265 new ways to please our men.

We don't need to be sold 60 pages of make-up and clothes - we need confidence, inner peace, and that hunger to become the best versions of ourselves because we deserve it, not because a magazine is telling us we need to change.

We are 3 women who live in different cities and meet virtually to write, edit, design, publish, and produce everything on our own.

Help us spread the word and get the exposure this message deserves by keeping this magazine on the shelves. Help us force this shift.

The print industry is filled with claims that it's nearing its final hour, so we're fighting against this idea that everything will soon go digital and that print will soon be obsolete. Our readers tell us otherwise.

Our main challenge has been, and continues to be, the fact we're all still trying to make ends meet while maintaining our start-up. We find ourselves working late into the night, and sometimes even sacrificing our health and well being to keep things afloat.

Please, help share this video across all your social media platforms. What we need is word of mouth and we need to get this campaign in the hands of people that can help us bring this dream to life.

And if you'd like to add a badge to your website, please take this and link it to the campaign.

Thank you, on behalf of the entire Indie Chick community.

A single mother and entrepreneur...

Now that Jason and I are separated and hes moved out, I am getting to experience that it really means to be a single mother and entrepreneur. Im lucky were friends and that we split the time with Luca, which gives me time to work, and though its hard to keep it all together, theres a special bond being created with Luca.. one I dont know I could have built had this gone any differently.

I thrive in the city.

The only thing I like about living upstate is the peace I feel when Im on the train into the chaos that is NYC. I thrive in the city. The sounds the city breathes actually soothe me more than nature does, believe it or not. Here - Im traveling to North Carolina for my birthday, to work.

After 3 weeks without eating, showering, or sleeping (and living off toast, coffee, and nutella) I finally got to hold the baby I designed. I was so emotional.. my cats thought I was crazy.
