On these runways, it’s not just who you’re wearing, it’s how little you’re wearing. Lingerie Fashion Week had its debut in February and returned this past weekend so that eleven designers could showcase their Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
From gold thread to maternity wear, three days of intimate presentations and runway shows took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion debuting some of the hottest up and coming lingerie designers. The shows are mostly for those in the underwear world, but Haute Street is giving you a sneak peak at four designers that made a splash:
If you’re looking for lingerie for the one percent, Rococo Dessous is your brand. The lingerie company offers its customers undergarments made with 24-karat-gold thread!
Sister design duos are usually the best, and you can see that in NOE. The lingerie brand features fashion-forward intimates for women looking for something sexy, but not necessarily traditional. Some popular items include playful mesh shorts and these see-through jumpers.
NY-based designer Jasmine Ines crafts one-of-a-kind made-to-order corsets for her line Sin & Satin that should come with a surgeon general's warning! More than 50 styles are handmade by one corsetiere who includes lacy, bosom-enhancing details, while also maintaining a luxurious look.
Internationally famous labels like Dita Von Teese Stockings, Affinitas & Parfait and Lola Haze also presented this past weekend. Overall, there was a great range of intimate collections that were seen on the runways of the second edition of Lingerie Fashion Week.
